Young Township, PA – An elderly Big Run man reportedly exposed himself to an employee in the parking lot of the Punxsutawney Walmart.
Court documents show that State Police in Punxsutawney have charged 81-year-old Melvin Johnson of Big Run with misdemeanors for indecent exposure, open lewdness, and DUI.
Police received a report on Nov. 4 of a man driving a blue Ford Escape who had exposed his genital to an employee in the Punxsy Walmart parking lot and was following people around.
Troopers saw a vehicle matching that description and pulled over Johnson.
After suspecting that he was under the influence of alcohol, they conducted a field sobriety test and found he was intoxicated. They also say they found an empty bottle of bourbon in the vehicle.
Police asked the employee from the initial incident to identify the man, which she did.
Johnson’s preliminary hearing will be held on Jan. 7.
