8 dogs killed in mobile home fire in Indiana County

North Mahoning Township, PA – Eight dogs were killed in a mobile home fire in Indiana County on Sunday night.

Neighbors saw that a home along Bratton Lane in North Mahoning Township (Rochester Mills, near Punxsutawney) was on fire around 11 p.m. Sunday.

The owners, 29-year-old Katelyn Sutter and 30-year-old Eric Sutter, were not at home at the time, but their 8 dogs died as a result of the fire.

There were no other injuries.

Damage is estimated at $20,000. The homeowners do not have insurance.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
