78-year-old woman struck by car while crossing street near Knox

Salem Township, PA – A 78-year-old woman was hit by an unknown vehicle in Clarion County and was sent to the hospital for her injuries.

Myrtle Gordon from Knox had been crossing Route 208 in Salem Township to get her mail just after 2:30 Monday afternoon.

She made it about 3/4ths of the way across the street when she was struck by a vehicle, possibly a blue pickup truck.

The driver did not stop and fled the scene going west. Gordon was able to crawl back to her house and was transported to Clarion Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The driver is still unknown. The vehicle is believed to have damage on the front passenger side.
