57-year-old New Bethlehem man killed in tractor incident


Redbank Township, PA – We now know the identity of the man killed in a fatal tractor accident in Clarion County.

The Clarion County Coroner as released the name, saying 57-year-old Gerald “Jerry” Champion from New Bethlehem was the victim of that incident on Sunday morning on Swartfager Road in Redbank Township.

Jerry Champion had been the chairman of the Porter Township Board of Supervisors.

The cause of death was determined to be accidental, with blunt force trauma injuries causing the death.

There is no obituary yet, and there is no word on when his funeral services will be held.
