4-month-old baby shot in Indiana County, expected to survive


White Township, Indiana County, PA – In neighboring Indiana County, a 4-month-old baby was shot over the weekend but is expected to survive.

According to State Police in Indiana, it happened around 6 p.m. Saturday at an apartment on College Lodge Road in White Township near Indiana.

The parents were at home at the time and told a neighbor, who called 911.

The child was driven by the parents to The Indiana Regional Medical Center, where he was then transported to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

The little boy had a single gunshot wound to his upper body but is in stable condition.

The State Police Troop A Major Case Team and the Indiana County District Attorney’s Office are investigating, and more information is expected to be released soon.
