Harrisburg, PA – Individuals interested in purchasing a quality used government vehicle will have the opportunity to do so as 270 vehicles will be up for public purchase at the Commonwealth’s August Auction on Tuesday, August 24 at the Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania building near Harrisburg.
This will include vehicles used by various state government agencies like police and PennDOT, but it will also include some high end luxury vehicles like BMW, Ford Flex, and Mercedes Benz that were seized by law enforcement.
You do have to register in advance and travel to Harrisburg to purchase vehicles, but it remains a popular event for people statewide to journey to find a good deal.

Harrisburg, PA – Individuals interested in purchasing a quality used vehicle will have the opportunity to do so as 270 vehicles will be up for public purchase at the Commonwealth’s August Auction on Tuesday, August 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania, 488 Firehouse Road, Grantville.
Vehicles seized by state law enforcement agencies that will be up for sale include: 2007 BMW 525XI, 2009 Ford Flex, and a 2011 Mercedes Benz S550.
There will be a wide selection of vehicles no longer used by various state government agencies including front- and all-wheel drive sedans, mini-vans, Police Interceptors, pick-up trucks, SUVs, utility vehicles and more from manufacturers such Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Dodge, GMC, and Jeep.
Pre-registration and in-person previewing of the vehicles begins on Thursday, August 19 and runs through Sunday, June 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at the Grantville auction site. During that same time frame, individuals interested in personally viewing the vehicles can do so. Pre-registration is mandatory and must be completed on or before Sunday, August 22, at 4:00 p.m. There will be no registration on the day of the auction.
The auction will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22. Buyers must purchase with certified funds in the form of money order, cashier’s check, certified check or bank check – made payable to “Manheim Keystone PA.” No cash will be accepted.
