DUBOIS – Consolidation between the City of DuBois and Sandy Township will be complete in just over a year, we will break down what elections are going to look like for you.
There will be an election next year for the new City of DuBois Council, come March 2025 potential candidates will need to get at least one hundred signatures to run in the race.
After that, according to Township/City Manager Shawn Arbaugh, the 2025 elections will determine who will cover our area.
“What we would love to do is to have information available, first of all to the public so they can understand what the ballot’s going to look like when they go to the polls in May,” explained Arbaugh. “Just because it looks so different. Sandy Township residents are going to see City of DuBois, and think they picked up the wrong ballot. So we want to have public information sessions on that January time frame to really start bringing people up to speed on that.”
