
Bigler Township, PA – A 2-year-old girl died in a crash when a vehicle ran off of the road and struck several trees in Clearfield County.
The driver, an unnamed 54-year-old woman, had been driving along Banion Road in Bigler Township around 5 p.m. Monday when she went off of the side of the road for unknown reason.
The vehicle went down an embankment and struck multiple trees before finally overturning onto the driver’s side.
State Police in Clearfield say the 2-year-old girl suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The driver had injuries of unknown severity and was taken to UPMC Altoona for treatment.
Although no additional details are available at this time, police are expected to release more information within the next day or two.
State Police in Clearfield were assisted by Madera and Ramey Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, the Clearfield County Coroner, Discount Auto Towing, and PennDOT.
