Bigler, PA – A 17-year-old boy was killed in a fatal head-on collision in Bigler, Clearfield County, yesterday morning.
The unnamed teen had been driving along Route 53 in Bigler Township around 8 a.m. Tuesday.
He crossed over the center line for unknown reasons and struck another vehicle head-on, driven by 62-year-old David Beary from Venus, PA.
The teen died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Beary and his passenger were taken to UPMC Altoona for their injuries.
Police are not releasing the name of the teen. Because of the age of the victim and out of respect until all family can be notified, we will certainly not be releasing any names either unless as part of funeral notices. We encourage you to do the same.
