
Huston Township, PA – A 16-year-old Reynoldsville girl was injured in a crash along Bennetts Valley Highway after speeding and passing a truck in a no-passing zone.
The victim remains unnamed because she is under the age of 18.
The teen had been driving a Hyundai Elantra on Route 255/Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township around 8:15 Sunday evening.
She was driving at a high rate of speed and passed a truck in a no-passing zone.
As she passed the truck, she lost control of her vehicle and began to fishtail.
The teen’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, breaking the pole in half.
The victim had injuries of unknown severity and was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois. She had been wearing her seat belt.
The teen is being charged with driving at an unsafe speed.
