15-year-old missing Philipsburg boy found DUI

Winslow Township, PA – A 15-year-old boy who had been missing from Philipsburg has been found near Reynoldsville, allegedly driving a vehicle while impaired.

The teen, who remains unnamed because of his age, had been reported as missing since the beginning of 2021 from Centre County.

He was found during a traffic stop early in the morning on June 20.

State Police in DuBois initiated the traffic stop around 2:37 a.m. June 20 on Reynoldsville-Sykesville Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, for an observed traffic violation.

Police smelled the odor of burnt marijuana.

The teen submitted to field sobriety tests and was found to be impaired.

He was then identified as the missing teen.

It’s unclear what charges he might be facing. The police report is listed as a drug possession case.
