
Cherryhill Township, PA – A teen was killed and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Indiana County.
It happened last Wednesday, Dec. 23 along Route 553 near its intersection with Route 422 in Cherryhill Township, close to Penn Run.
A 1992 Honda Accord crossed into the opposite lane and struck a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe traveling in the opposite direction.
A 14-year-old girl who had been sitting in the backseat of the Hyundai was fatally injured.
Three other individuals in the Hyundai were taken by ambulance to a nearby medical facility.
No injuries were reported from the Honda, the car that had crossed over the line.
A statement from the Pennsylvania State Police of Indiana report states, “This crash is currently still under active investigation from the C.A.R.S. Unit for a complete and complex explanation of the crash.”

On Wednesday, December 23 the Cherryhill Township Fire Company was dispatched for a vehicle accident on Route 553 West of Penn Run. Unfortunately, the accident resulted in the death of Brittany Keith a 14-year old from our area. One of our firefighters, Brian Keith, Brittany’s uncle, was onboard our first rescue unit arriving on scene. Obviously, Brian, as is his entire family, taking the loss of Brittany hard. As we do in the fire service, we will fully support Brian and his family though this tragedy. We are asking those who wish to help the family defray cost of the funeral expenses to consider making a memorial contribution to support the family during this difficult time.
