Washington Township, PA – A 12-year-old girl was injured when a vehicle that had been going too fast for conditions rolled over in Jefferson County.

18-year-old Emily Roush from Reynoldsville had been driving along Copenhaver Road near Alsmith Road in Washington Township, close to Falls Creek, around 7 a.m. last Thursday, Dec. 10.

State Police in DuBois say she was going too fast for road conditions and lost control of her Chevrolet Blazer. The vehicle struck an embankment, rolled over, and came to rest on its roof.

Although Roush wasn’t injured, a 12-year-old girl in the vehicle had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Penn Highlands DuBois.

Both Roush and the young girl had been wearing their seat belts.
