Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates were able to grab a 13-12 win over the San Francisco Giants last night at PNC Park.
Game two of the Bucs-Giants series is tonight. The Pirates pregame show starts at 6:15, and the first pitch is scheduled for 6:40. Listen for Pirates baseball on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve lost their fourth game in a row, a 4-3 setback in Harrisburg last night. Altoona faces the Senators this evening with the first pitch set for 6:30.
College Football:
Tomorrow night, Western PA’s college football season begins. Clarion hosts West Virginia Wesleyan, and IUP plays at Ashland Thursday night. On Saturday, the Penn State Nittany Lions, ranked 18th in the AP Top 25, will host Marshall with a 3:30pm kickoff time. The Pitt Panthers host Miami of Ohio. That Saturday game has a 12:30pm kickoff time.
