DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:

The DuBois Senior League All Stars won the championship of the East Region Tournament in Bangor, Maine. DuBois defeated Massachusetts by a score of 3-1 Tuesday morning in the East Regional Championship game. The DuBois Seniors advance to the Senior League World Series in Easley, South Carolina. Game one for DuBois will be at 9 Saturday morning against Illinois. Tune in for all the live action of the Seniors in the World Series on Connect FM.

The DuBois Junior League Baseball All Stars came up short to Rhode Island last night, 7-4, in the East Region Tournament they are hosting at Stern Field. Today, DuBois All Stars will play the other Pennsylvania team in the tournament, West Chester, at 2pm . The 8 to 10 year old DuBois All Stars were eliminated from the State Tournament yesterday. DuBois lost to the All Stars from Selinsgrove, 5-3.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

Eight doubles off Pittsburgh bats helped power the Pirates to an 8-5 triumph over the Detroit Tigers last night at PNC Park.

Altoona Curve:

The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve dropped a 2-1 decision to the Chesapeake Bay Sox last night at PNG Field. Today’s game in Altoona begins at 12:05.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

As the Pittsburgh Steelers prepare for their first public Training Camp workout session tomorrow in Latrobe, their all-time sack leader has been signed to a four-year contract. Linebacker T.J. Watt, the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, leads the Steelers with 108 career sacks.
