The District 10 Little League All Star Baseball Tournaments continue …
Tonight, the DuBois Major All Stars have a championship matchup against Bradford’s All Stars. The game will be played at Way Memorial Field in DuBois. Listen for live action on Connect FM tonight at 6, or watch at Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars will be facing the Elk County All Stars in a winner’s bracket matchup Thursday evening. Tune in for live coverage of that game on Sunny 106 at 6pm tomorrow, or watch the action at Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars upended Brookville in the lower bracket of the tournament, 7-1, last night. DuBois All Stars will match up with St. Marys for the district championship on Thursday.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates won again … a 1-0 triumph over the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday night at PNC Park. It’s five straight wins for the Pirates, and seven victories in their last nine games.
Today, the Bucs and Cards are scheduled to wrap up their three-game series in Pittsburgh. This afternoon’s first pitch is set for 12:35.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve stay hot with a 6-5 win over Harrisburg at PNG Field last night. The Curve have won six of their last seven contests. Altoona hosts Harrisburg again tonight. Game time is 6pm.
