District 9 / PIAA Football Playoffs
Class A: District 9’s Class 1A football champion, Port Allegany, will be playing in the Quarterfinal round of the PIAA playoffs on Friday. The undefeated Gators will take on District 10 champion Greenville at Corry High School. Kickoff time is set for 7pm.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins have returned home from Sweden and the NHL’s Global Series last weekend. Coming up on Friday, the Pens will face the Minnesota Wild at PPG Paints Arena.
Friday’s opening face-off is scheduled for 7pm. The Pens-Wild pregame show begins at 6pm on Connect FM.
College Football: Saturday Schedule

Pitt (7-3) at #16 Georgia Tech (9-1), 7pm
Assumption University (8-2) at IUP (7-3), 1pm – NCAA Division II Regional Playoffs
Pittsburgh Steelers:
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-and-4, ahead of Baltimore by one game in the AFC North Division. Sunday, the Steelers go up against the NFC North Division-leading Chicago Bears on the road. The Bears are 7-and-3. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has not yet announced who will start at quarterback on Sunday.
