District 9 Basketball Championships:
District 9 basketball is entering championship tournament season tonight.
The girls Class 5-A District 9 championship will be decided in Brookville tonight as the DuBois Lady Beavers take on the Punxsutawney Lady Chucks. In Class 3-A girls action, Moniteau will face Westinghouse on Wednesday evening.
In Class 2-A boys matchups on Wednesday, Brockway will play at Clarion. In Class 1-A, Otto-Eldred plays at Cameron County, Oswayo Valley will travel to North Clarion, and Johnsonburg hosts Northern Potter.
Several more District 9 tournament games will be played on Friday.
District 9 2-A Wrestling Tournament:
The District 9 2-A individual wrestling tournament will be held at Penn West Clarion’s Tippin Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday.

Pittsburgh Pirates:
The 2026 Pittsburgh Pirates have reported for Spring Training full-squad workouts in Bradenton, Florida. The Bucs will have their first Spring Training game Saturday afternoon against Baltimore.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins return to regular season action following the Winter Olympics break in just nine days. On Thursday, February 26th, the Pens host the New Jersey Devils. The pregame show begins at 6pm. The opening face-off is scheduled for 7pm — on Connect FM.
