DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:

The DuBois Senior League All Stars, winners of the East Region Tournament championship in Maine on Tuesday, departed yesterday for South Carolina and the Senior League World Series. Game one for DuBois, representing the Eastern United States, will be at 9 o’clock Saturday morning. DuBois takes on Illinois, representatives of the U.S. Central Region. Tune in for all the live play-by-play action of the Seniors at the World Series on Connect FM.

The DuBois Junior League Baseball All Stars were pushed out of the East Region Tournament Wednesday with a 5-2 loss to West Chester, PA. DuBois is hosting the East Region Tournament at Stern Field in DuBois City Park. Today at 2pm, the East Regional championship game will be played.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

In Pittsburgh yesterday, the Pirates completed a three game sweep of the Tigers with a 6-1 win at PNC Park.

The Bucs are off today. The Arizona Diamondbacks will come to the ‘Burgh for a three-game weekend series. Friday night’s first pitch is scheduled for 6:40. Tune in for Pirates-D-Backs pregame show at 6:15 Friday evening on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve got doubled up by Chesapeake, 6-3, Wednesday at PNG Field. The Curve host the Baysox for game three of the series at 6 tonight.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

The Pittsburgh Steelers begin 2025 Training Camp at St. Vincent College in Latrobe today. Coach Mike Tomlin said all players and coaches had arrived by the 4pm Wednesday deadline. The Steelers are scheduled to take the field for the first public training session at 2 this afternoon.
