DuBois 17, St. Marys 0 – Noah Farrell hit a home run and drove in four runs for the Beavers. Also, Trey Wingard recorded his 87th high school career hit, and that put him at the top of the all-time hits list for DuBois.
DuBois Central Catholic 13, Johnsonburg 0 – Brayden Zatsick pitched a one-hitter and struck out 11 for the Cardinals, and both Carter Himes and Xavier Schwentner went 3-for-3 at the plate for DCC.

St. Marys 9, DuBois 8 – Molly Hanslovan hit two home runs, a double, and drove in three runs for the Lady Dutch. .
DuBois Central Catholic 15, Johnsonburg 0 – DCC’s Rylee Kulbatsky pitched a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts, and she was 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and three runs scored.

Penn State-DuBois Baseball and Softball:
The 17-and-1 Penn State-DuBois baseball team is scheduled to host a double-header against Penn State-Shenango on Friday.
The Penn State-DuBois softball team, with an 11-and-7 overall record, travels Friday to play a double-header at Penn State-Mont Alto.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the San Diego Padres, 8-2.
The Bucs are off today. Friday, the Pirates begin a three-game weekend series in Chicago against the Cubs. The first pitch of tomorrow’s game is set for 2:20. Tune in for the Pirates pregame show at 1:55 Friday afternoon on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ double-A affiliate, Altoona Curve, are now 0-and-5 after a 5-3 loss at Richmond last night. Game three of Altoona’s six-game series in Virginia begins at 7:05 tonight.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins will try to strengthen their hold on a playoff position when they take the ice in New Jersey tonight. The Pens are in second place in the Metropolitan Division with 96 points, four points ahead of Philadelphia. The Penguins face the Devils in tonight.
