DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
The DuBois Senior League Baseball All Stars won against Newville Friday, 6-3, making DuBois the 2025 PA Champions. They next move to Bangor, Maine for the Senior League East Region Tournament.
The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars faced St. Marys Friday evening in the District 10 Championship game, winning 9-1. They now move onto the Junior League East Region Tournament next Saturday at Stern Field.
The DuBois Major All Stars began the Sectional Tournament on Saturday. DuBois faced French Creek, winning 19-0. On Sunday they played against Butler Township losing 5-4 dropping them into the losers bracket. They play again tonight at 6pm, tune into ConnectFM or Tricounty.tv for live coverage.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars played in the Sectional Tournament in Meadville Saturday, having a 3-1 victory. Sunday the 8 to 10 year-olds also clinched a 11-6 win,moving them forward in the tournament.
DuBois Little League All Star Softball:
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old softball All Stars won their latest game for the State Tournament in Drexel Hill 10-0. They next play Southern Tioga at 7pm tonight. You can listen in on Sunny106.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates were in Minnesota over the weekend. They lost Friday’s and Saturday’s games 1-2 and 4-12 respectively. They won their first game in the last eight on Sunday 2-1.
The Bucs take a little break now as their next game against the White Sox isn’t until Friday at 6:40pm.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve lost on Friday night to Binghamton 3-6. However Saturday and Sunday Altoona beat Binghamton 4-1 and 7-5 respectively.
They now take a little break until they play Akron this Friday beginning at 6:30pm.
