Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates managed to win their last two series on the road, including this past weekend over St. Louis. On Sunday, the Bucs held on to a 5-4 victory over the Cards.
The Bucs are off today, getting ready for a three-game home series against the Giants. The Pirates pregame show Tuesday evening starts at 6:15. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve fell to the Erie Sea Wolves, 7-2, Sunday evening at PNG Field. The next series for Altoona begins Tuesday evening at 6:30 in Harrisburg.
College Football:
The college football begins Thursday. Clarion hosts West Virginia Wesleyan, and IUP plays at Ashland. Then on Saturday, the 18th ranked Penn State Nittany Lions will host Marshall; and Miami of Ohio will play the Pitt Panthers in Pittsburgh.
