Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates split a four-game series with the Reds at PNC Park. Sunday, the Bucs lost 14- 8.
The Pirates will now play three games in Milwaukee. The first pitch of tonight’s Bucs-Brewers matchup is scheduled for 7:40 on Connect FM. Listen for the pregame show this evening at 7:15.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve managed to split their six-game series with Hartford at PNG Field. Sunday’s game went to the Yard Goats. They beat the Curve, 11-4. Tomorrow, Altoona starts a six-game Eastern League series at Richmond. The first pitch of the Curve-Flying Squirrels game Tuesday night is 6:35.
Pittsburgh Steelers:
The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed a 31-25 win over Jacksonville Saturday night in their first preseason game. This week, the Steelers finish Training Camp in Latrobe with a pair of public practice sessions today and tomorrow. Pittsburgh’s second preseason game is on the schedule for Saturday evening. The Steelers will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
