DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
Tonight, the DuBois Senior League All Stars will play their first game in the State Tournament. DuBois is hosting the tournament at Stern Field. Tune in for DuBois Seniors live action at 8 tonight on Connect FM and on Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois Junior Baseball All Stars will be facing either St. Marys or Elk County in the District 10 Championship Wednesday at 6pm. The game will be live on Sunny 106 and Tri County dot TV.
The DuBois Major All Stars begin Sectional tournament play on Saturday, July 12th.
The DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars get a shot at the District 10 Championship this evening. DuBois will play St. Marys at 6 this evening to settle the title.
DuBois Little League All Star Softball:
On Sunday, the DuBois 8 to 10 year-old softball All Stars notched a 9-0 win over Titusville in the Sectional Tournament. The DuBois Minors will face Fort Lebeouf at 6 this evening.
The DuBois Junior Softball All Star team begins State Tournament competition in Watsontown on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates couldn’t score a run in Seattle over the weekend, and the Mariners completed a sweep of the Bucs Sunday with a 1-0 win.
Pittsburgh will play a three-game series in Kansas City. The Pirates and Royals start the series this evening at 7:40.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve lost to the Harrisburg Senators on Sunday, 2-0. The Curve rest today before starting a six-game series at Binghamton. Altoona’s Eastern League series in New York begins Tuesday evening with a 6:07 first pitch.
