Indiana 3, Punxsutawney 2;

Penn State-DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State-DuBois baseball team swept two double-headers from Penn State-New Kensington Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Lions topped New Kensington 2-0, and 7-1. Then on Saturday, Penn State-DuBois notched 11-3 and 13-3 wins. Next for the Lions is a home double-header with Penn State-Shenango on Friday.

The Penn State-DuBois softball team also recorded four wins over the weekend. On Friday, the Lady Lions knocked off Penn State-Hazleton in DuBois, 23-0 and 14-1. Saturday, Penn State-DuBois beat Penn State-Scranton, 5-0 and 6-4. The Lady Lions have a double-header scheduled today at Allegany College of Maryland.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates swept their home-opening series with the Baltimore Orioles over the Easter weekend. The Bucs won Friday, 5-4. Saturday’s win was 3-2. Then yesterday, the Pirates prevailed, 8-2.

The San Diego Padres are in the ‘Burgh for a three-game series against the Bucs. Game one is tonight at 6:40. Tune in for the Pirates pregame show starting at 6:15 this evening on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ double-A affiliate, Altoona Curve, had a rough start to the season. The Curve lost three-straight games to the Harrisburg Senators in Altoona Thursday through Saturday, 7-2, 6-5, and 6-3. The Curve are off today. They will play at Richmond Tuesday night with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins strengthened their bid for a playoffs berth after notching back-to-back wins over the Florida Panthers Saturday and Sunday. The Pens pounded the Panthers 9-4 on Saturday, and they skated to a 5-2 victory Sunday.

The Penguins face the Devils in New Jersey Thursday night. Listen for the Pens pregame show at 6pm. The opening puck drop will come your way at 7pm Thursday on Connect FM.
