District 9 High School Football: Week 7 SCOREBOARD
Brockway 61, Bradford 6 – A balanced offensive attack of 269 yards passing and 253 yards rushing pushed the Rovers to their fifth win of the year. Aiden Patton tossed three touchdown passes and ran for another score. Skyler Logan carried the ball only four times, but covered 103 yards including a 25-yard TD run.
DuBois 38, Connellsville 24 – Beavers quarterback Trey Wingard had a total of 358 yards passing including four touchdown tosses, three of them to Jaxson Hanzely. Hanzely finished the game with a total of 257 yards receiving.
Port Allegany 48, Brookville 28 – The Gators improved to a record of 7-0.
Punxsutawney 56, Redbank Valley 14 – The Chucks maintained their unbeaten status at 7-0.

UCLA 42, Penn State 37 – The Nittany Lions fall to a record of 3-and-2, and fall out of the nation’s Top 25 rankings.

Pittsburgh Steelers:
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off their “Bye” week. This week, the 3-and-1 Steelers will prepare for their upcoming home game on Sunday against division rival Cleveland. Kickoff time will be 1pm.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins upended the Buffalo Sabres in their preseason finale’ Friday night, 5-4, in overtime. Tuesday night, the regular season schedule for Pittsburgh commences at Madison Square Garden where they will face the New York Rangers. The first home game for the Penguins will be Thursday when the New York Islanders visit PPG Paints Arena. Listen for Pittsburgh Penguins hockey all season long on Connect FM.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
Baseball Digest has honored Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes as the 2025 MLB Pitcher of the Year It was the first time ever the publication has named a Pirate Pitcher of the Year. Skenes posted an ERA of 1.97, and recorded 216 strikeouts this past season.
