Pittsburgh Pirates:
Paul Skenes pitched another excellent game for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Bucs blanked the Reds last night at PNC Park, 7-0. The Pirates’ four-game series with Cincinnati continues tonight at PNC Park. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40 on Connect FM. Listen for the Bucs-Reds pregame show this evening at 6:15.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve didn’t fare well to Hartford last night, losing 10-5 at PNG Field. Tonight in Altoona, the Curve face the Yard Goats in game four of the Eastern League series at 6pm.
Pittsburgh Steelers:
Week one of the preseason schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers is coming up Saturday night in Jacksonville. The Steelers face the Jaguars at 7pm tomorrow, but Pittsburgh Head Coach Mike Tomlin says a lot of recognizable names will not be in the game as they either nurse a short-term injury, or as Tomlin puts it, it’s a player that will “need less runway to take off.”
