DuBois Little League All Star Baseball:
The DuBois Little League Baseball All Stars begin District 10 tournament play this week.
This evening, the DuBois Major All Stars will play the combo team of Smethport, Mt. Jewett and Kane in DuBois. That game will be carried live on Connect FM starting at 6pm. If DuBois wins, the Major All Stars will advance to play the Potter-McKean All Stars on Friday.
Then on Thursday, the DuBois 8 to 10 year-old All Stars are scheduled to take on the Smethport, Mt. Jewett, Kane combo team on the combo team’s home field. The winners of that game will face Warren All Stars on Saturday.
The DuBois Senior All Stars will also be in action Thursday against a Smethport, Mt. Jewett, Bradford combo team. Listen for that game on Connect FM at 6pm Thursday.
The DuBois Junior All Stars begin their district tournament on June 27th.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates are starting to skid again. The Bucs have lost four of their last five games. The latest loss came in Detroit last night as the Pirates fell to the Tigers, 7-3.
Game two of the Pirates’ series in Detroit is scheduled for 6:40 this evening.
Altoona Curve:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve had their home game last night with the Richmond Flying Squirrels postponed due to rain. Game one of the series is now scheduled for tonight, with the first pitch scheduled for 6pm. Thursday will be an Altoona-Richmond doubleheader starting at 5.
