DuBois 18, Bradford 2 – Ava Baronick hit a grand slam for the Lady Beavers while Audrey Hale went 3-for-4 at bat with two doubles and three RBI for DuBois

DuBois Central Catholic 20, Kane 0 – DCC’s Rylee Kulbatsky pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out nine … one of those Ks was Kulbatsky’s 400th career strikeout

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team takes its six-game win streak to Penn State New Kensington on Friday. A double-header is scheduled.

The Penn State DuBois softball team will host Penn State Beaver for a double-header on Friday.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates salvaged a win over the Tampa Bay Rays Wednesday, 4-2. The Bucs are off today, then the Pirates’ season home-opening series against the New York Yankees begins Friday afternoon. The Bucs-Yanks pregame show on Connect FM begins at 3:45. Friday’s first pitch is scheduled for 4:10pm.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins are on the road for their next three games. Tonight, the Pens play at St. Louis. The Pens-Blues pregame show will start at 7:30, and the opening face-off is scheduled for 8 tonight … on Sunny 106 and Connect FM.
