Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team swept home-and-home double-headers against Penn State Fayette Friday and Saturday. Penn State DuBois notched 10-1 and 14-2 victories on the road Friday, and then posted 13-3 and 10-0 wins on Saturday. The overall season record now for Penn State DuBois is 23-6.

The Penn State DuBois softball team had a rough go of it in a home double-header Friday against Penn State Mont Alto. The visitors upended Penn State DuBois 7-6 and 7-4.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

It was not a good Easter weekend for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Bucs were beaten three straight times by the Cleveland Guardians, including an Easter Sunday, extra innings loss to Cleveland, 5-4. The Pirates head to the west coast for six games in LA. Tuesday, the Bucs face the Dodgers at 9:35. You can catch the Pirates-Dodgers pregame show on Connect FM at 9:10.

 

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve tripled up Somerset Sunday, 9-3, at PNG Field. The Curve won the series over the Patriots, four games to two. Tuesday, Altoona will start a six-game series in Maryland taking on the Chesapeake BaySox.

The NFL draft begins Thursday night. The Connect FM Under Review team will be broadcasting live from the Hitching Post from 6 to 8pm.
