Punxsutawney 14, Tyrone 2 – Punxsy’s Nevin Day hit a home run, drove in three runs, and pitched four strong innings striking out four Tyrone batters

St. Marys 6, Karns City 0 – Ben Paul pitched a one-hitter for St. Marys while striking out eight Gremlins

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team will take its six-game win streak to Penn State New Kensington on Friday. A double-header is scheduled.

The Penn State DuBois softball team split a twin bill at Penn State New Kensington Tuesday. New Kensington won the first game, 9-5. DuBois claimed the second contest, 5-4. Penn State DuBois hosts Penn State Beaver for a double-header on Friday.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates are slumping early, having lost five of their first six games of the season. Last night, the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Bucs, 7-0. The Pirates finish their three-game series at Tampa Bay this afternoon. The Bucs-Rays pregame show on Connect FM begins at 12:45. Today’s first pitch is scheduled for 1:10pm.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins are on the road for their next three games. Thursday night, the Pens play at St. Louis. Thursday’s Pens-Blues pregame show will start at 7:30, and the opening face-off is scheduled for 8 … on Sunny 106 and Connect FM.
