TUESDAY SOFTBALL SCHEDULE
*The Karns City at Brookville, DuBois Central Catholic at St. Marys, and Elk County Catholic at Otto-Eldred games were postponed due to the weather.
Penn State DuBois Baseball:
Penn West Clarion University recorded 22 hits enroute to an 18-2 win over the Penn State DuBois baseball team on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
Just one day after scoring 10 runs, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ bats went silent again. The Bucs fell to Washington, 3-0, Tuesday at PNC Park. Tonight, the Bucs and Nationals play game three of the four-game series. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40. Listen for the pregame show at 6:15 this evening on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Altoona Curve lost their home series opener with Somerset Tuesday, 6-1. The Curve managed only one hit off Patriots pitching. Today, he Curve and Somerset have a day game scheduled with a 12:15 first pitch this afternoon at PNG Field.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins will wrap up their season tomorrow night as they host the Washington Capitals at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens-Caps pregame show begins at 6:30pm, and the opening face-off will be at 7 Thursday night … on Sunny 106.
