DuBois Central Catholic 11, Johnsonburg 0 – Riley Kulbatsky pitched a five-inning perfect game for DCC striking out all 18 batters she faced

Brockway 18, Elk County Catholic 3 – Rheanna Spinda went 4-for-4 at the plate and drove in six runs to lead the Lady Rovers

Cranberry 18, Brookville 2

St. Marys 9, Curwensville 2 – The Lady Dutch recorded 7 runs in the 8th inning to claim the win

 

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team split a double-header with LaRoche College Wednesday, winning the first game 5-4, and losing the night cap 18-3. Meanwhile, the Penn State DuBois softball team swept two from Penn Highlands Community College, 11-10 and 15-7.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates have claimed their first series of the season, winning two of three at home against the Cardinals. Wednesday, in the thirteenth inning, the Bucs nipped St. Louis, 2-1. The Bucs are off today. Friday, the Pirates start a three-game series at Cincinnati with a 6:40pm game. Listen for the Pirates pregame show at 6:15 Friday evening on Connect FM.

 

Altoona Curve:

The Altoona Curve lost big to the Rubber Ducks in Akron last night, 13-1. Game three of the Curve’s series in Akron is scheduled to start at 6:35 this evening.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins next take the ice and face the Devils in New Jersey Friday night. Listen for the Pens-Devils pregame show at 6:30pm, and the opening face-off at 7 Friday evening … on Sunny 106.
