DuBois Central Catholic 6, Northern Potter 2 – Lady Cardinals pitcher Rylee Kulbatski struck out 21 NoPo batters … Marina Hanes was 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI

 

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team is up to six wins in-a-row. Over the weekend, Penn State DuBois swept three games from Penn State Shenango, 13-6, 16-7 and 9-5. Next for Penn State DuBois is a double-header at Penn State New Kensington on Friday.

The Penn State DuBois softball team’s double-header scheduled at Kent State Tuscarawas Sunday was cancelled. Tomorrow, the Penn State DuBois softballers are scheduled to play two at Penn State New Kensington.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

It was a rocky season-opening series for the Pittsburgh Pirates, losing three of four in Miami. The Marlins won Sunday’s game, 3-2. The Pirates remain in Florida to take on Tampa Bay the next three days. The Bucs-Rays pregame show on Connect FM begins at 6:40. Tonight’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins nipped the Ottawa Senators Sunday, 1-0. Sidney Crosby was the hero once again by netting a goal in overtime. Next for Pittsburgh is a Thursday night match up at St. Louis. The Pens-Blues pregame show will start at 7:30, and the opening face-off is scheduled for 8 … on Sunny 106.
