Pittsburgh Pirates:

Opening day for the Pittsburgh Pirates turned sour. The Bucs had a 4-1 lead over the Miami Marlins, but lost the game, 5-4. The Pirates try again in Miami this evening. The pregame show on Connect FM begins at 6:45. Tonight’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm.

St. Marys 4, DuBois 3 – Kelsie Fledderman hit two home runs for the Lady Dutch…she was 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in three of St. Marys’ four runs

Curwensville 12, Central Clarion 0 – Addison Siple threw a no-hitter for the Lady Tide, she struck out 14, and she hit two doubles for Curwensville

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team will try to add to a three-game win streak. This afternoon, Penn State DuBois is scheduled to play a pair of games at Penn State Shenango.

The Penn State DuBois softball team, on a two-game win stretch, is heading to Kent State Tuscarawas this weekend for a Sunday double-header.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to Buffalo last night, 7-3. But the game proved record-breaking for Pens Captain Sidney Crosby. Crosby secured his 80th point of the season, making him the first player in NHL history to go 20 consecutive seasons averaging a point per game. Next for Pittsburgh is a home match up with the Ottawa Senators on Sunday afternoon. The pregame show will start at 4:30, and the opening face-off is scheduled for 5 … on Sunny 106.
