Central Mountain 10, DuBois 4 – Trey Wingard hit a home run, a double, and drove in a pair of runs for the Beavers

St. Marys 8, Brockway 3

 

SOFTBALL SCOREBOARD

Monday:

Central Mountain 4, DuBois 3 (8 innings) – Ava Baronick hit two doubles and drove in a run for DuBois

Brockway 10, Bradford 0 – Lady Rovers’ pitcher Bailee Carberry struck out 12 and threw a five-inning no-hitter … Rheanna Spinda was 3-for-3 at the plate for Brockway with a double and two runs scored

St. Marys 10, Cranberry 0

Central Clarion 17, Elk County Catholic 7

 

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team has won three games in a row and will next play a pair of games at Penn State Shenango Friday afternoon.

The Penn State DuBois softball team, winners of two straight, will travel to Kent State Tuscarawas for a Sunday double-header.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates lost their final spring training game yesterday afternoon against Minnesota. The Twins beat the Bucs, 5-1. Thursday is the opening of the regular season for the Pirates in Miami. Tune in for the pregame show on Connect FM at 3:45. The first pitch for the Bucs-Marlins contest is scheduled for 4:10pm.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins are still in Florida, and tonight will take on the Lightning. This evening’s Penguins-Lightning pregame show starts at 6:30, and the opening face-off is scheduled for 7 … on Sunny 106 and Connect FM.
