PIAA Basketball Playoffs
GIRLS
Class A – Wednesday at 7pm – District 9 champs, DuBois Central Catholic, face St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy of District 6 in the second round of the PIAA playoffs. The game will be played at Bald Eagle Area High School.
Class 4A – Wednesday – Clearfield, the District 9 champs, and fresh off their first-ever PIAA playoff win, take on Blackhawk of District 7, the WPIAL. The game is scheduled for 7:30pm at PennWest Clarion Tippin Gymnasium.
BOYS
Class A – TONIGHT at 6pm – D9 runner-up Elk County Catholic plays Neighborhood Academy, champions of the WPIAL, at PennWest Clarion Tippin Gymnasium.
Penn State DuBois Basketball:
Both Penn State DuBois basketball teams begin action in the USCAA Division 2 Small College National Tournament in Buffalo, New York today. The Penn State DuBois men’s team will play Bucks County Community College and the Penn State DuBois women’s team is scheduled to face Cincinnati-Clermont.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates were doubled up by Baltimore in their Monday spring training game, 6-3. This afternoon in Bradenton the Pirates take on the New York Yankees.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins are back home and will face Las Vegas tonight at PPG Paints Arena. The Penguins-Golden Knights pregame show starts at 6:30 this evening, and the opening face-off is scheduled for 7pm on Connect FM and Sunny 106.
