PIAA Football Playoffs
Two District 9 football teams will participate in the semifinal round of the PIAA playoffs tonight. This is the first time our local district has more than one team in the western finals:
CLASS 1A
D9 champ Port Allegany beat District 10 champ Wilimington last Friday, 38-20 – The 13-0 Gators will play WPIAL champ Fort Cherry (14-0) at Penn West Clarion TONIGHT at 7pm.
CLASS 2A
D9 Champ Central Clarion was a 49-6 winner over D6 champs Cambria Heights last Saturday – The 13-0 Wildcats will play the WPIAL champs, South Park (12-1) at Farrell High School TONIGHT at 7.
College Football:
Maryland (4-7) at #4 Penn State (10-1), Saturday, 3:30pm
Pittsburgh (7-4) at Boston College (6-5), Saturday, 3pm
Pittsburgh Steelers:
The 8-and-3 Pittsburgh Steelers will take on another division foe this Sunday … Cincinnati. The Steelers and Bengals have a 1pm kickoff scheduled in Cincy.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins knocked off Vancouver Wednesday night, 5-4.

College Basketball:
The next game for Penn State DuBois men is Tuesday at home against Bryant and Stratton
