For the first time ever, there are two District 9 football teams in the semifinal round of the PIAA playoffs:
CLASS 1A
D9 champ Port Allegany 38, District 10 champ Wilimington 20 (Friday) – The Gators will play WPIAL champ Fort Cherry at Penn West Clarion Friday night at 7pm.
CLASS 2A
D9 Champ Central Clarion 49, D6 champs Cambria Heights 6 (Saturday) – Central Clarion will play the WPIAL champs, South Park at Farrell High School Friday night at 7.
College Football:
Maryland (4-7) at #4 Penn State (10-1), Saturday, 3:30pm
Pittsburgh (7-4) at Boston College (6-5), Saturday, 3pm
Pittsburgh Steelers:
The 8-and-3 Pittsburgh Steelers will take on another division foe this Sunday … Cincinnati. The Steelers and Bengals have a 1pm kickoff scheduled in Cincy.
