Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins lost a lead once again, and they lost the game in overtime last night to Tampa Bay, 3-2.

The next Penguins game will be Friday night when Winnipeg comes to PPG Paints Arena. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7pm. The Pens-Jets pregame show will begin at 6:30 Friday evening … on Connect FM and Sunny 106.

 

PIAA Football Playoffs

CLASS 1A

D9 champ Port Allegany will face District 10 champ Wilimington in DuBois Friday at 7pm.

CLASS 2A

D9 Champ Central Clarion will face Cambria Heights, the champs of District 6, in Kittanning Saturday afternoon at 1.

CLASS 4A

D9 Champ Clearfield will face WPIAL champ Thomas Jefferson, Friday night in Windber.

 

Brookville and Brockway High School Sports:

According to a published report, the Brookville School Board voted Monday to have the school’s athletic programs join the KSAC (Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference) starting in the 2025-26 school year. All of the current KSAC schools still need to approve the move. The report also indicates that an invitation to join the league was extended by the KSAC to both Brookville and Brockway programs. Brockway has reportedly not made any decision regarding a possible move at this point in time.

College Football (Saturday):

#4 Penn State (9-1) at Minnesota (6-4), 3:30pm

Pittsburgh (7-3) at Louisville (6-4), 4pm

 

Pittsburgh Steelers:

The 8-and-2 Pittsburgh Steelers play the Browns in Cleveland Thursday night. Kickoff time is 8:15.

College Basketball:

Edinboro 120, Penn State DuBois Men 61 – Tuesday

Penn State DuBois Women (2-1) host Jamestown Community College – this evening at 6pm
