District 9 Basketball:

BOYS (Tuesday)

Elk County Catholic 62, Bradford 34 – Chase Simbeck was the game’s top scorer with 29 points, and Wil Wortman added another 25 points for the Crusaders

St. Marys 50, Ridgway 23 – The Dutch were led by Ben Paul’s 12 points

Curwensville’s game was postponed

GIRLS (Tuesday)

St. Marys 42, Ridgway 21 – Braelyn Beck scored 13 points to lead the way for the Lady Dutch

Games involving DuBois, DuBois Central Catholic, and Brockway were postponed

Penn State DuBois Basketball:

Both the Penn State DuBois men’s and women’s basketball teams brought home wins from Penn State Fayette Tuesday evening. Penn State DuBois men notched a 101-85 victory, and the women’s game was in favor of Penn State DuBois by a score of 63-45. On Saturday afternoon, both Penn State DuBois teams will host Penn State Greater Allegheny.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins have won two of the first three games of their current seven-game road trip. Thursday night, the Penguins battle the Ducks in Sourthern California. The Pens-Ducks pregame show starts up at 9:30 tomorrow night. The opening puck drop is scheduled for 10pm … on Connect FM and Sunny 106.
