On Saturday, November 1, the DuBois Area Robotics team competed at the Grove City College BEST Competition.
The DuBois Area team took first place in the robot game, 1st place in the marketing presentation, 1st place in the t-shirt design, 1st place in the Founder’s award for design, and won the award for the most robust robot. In addition, the team took 2nd place in the engineering notebook and in the team exhibit. The combined score of all these aspects earned the team the coveted honor of FIRST PLACE overall BEST award and qualified the team for the Denver BEST Regional Championships in December!
If you would like to help support the team’s trip to the Regional Championships, please consider attending their Basket BINGO fundraising event on Saturday, November 15, at the DuBois VFW Post 813. Doors open at 5 pm and the games start at 6 pm! Tickets will be available at the door – $30 a person (that includes games, snacks and water).
