James R. Senior, age 81 of Rockton, PA died Monday, November 2, 2026 at his home.
Born on June 17, 1945, in Falls Creek, PA, he was the son of the late Merle C. and Alberta J. (Wayland) Senior. When his children were young, Jim worked at Shaw Mack as a diesel mechanic. He then worked for many years alongside his brother Butch at S & S Auto. Following that, he went to work with his sister Shirley at Steeple Furniture until his retirement.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, and enjoyed the game show channel. He was an avid fan of both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He also loved Dale Earnhardt, NASCAR Racing, and growing his tomatoes and peppers.
He is survived by his children; Virginia Novak and husband Tim of Myrtle Beach, SC, Emma Trump and her husband Daniel of Albion, PA, Barbara Donahue (Todd Watt) of Brockway, PA, and Jim Senior and his wife Tami of St. Marys, PA, seven grandchildren; Josh, Amber, Ashley, Jacob, Johnny, Cassie, and Ryan, four great grandchildren, one sister, Shirley Conrad of Rockton, PA, and one brother, John Senior of Missoula, MT. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Donald “Butch” and Frank Senior, and one sister Betty Marsh.
There will be no public visitation, and a service will be held at the convenience of the family.
