PHILIPSBURG – A Philipsburg man will spend up to two years in the Clearfield County Jail after pleading guilty to leading police on a high speed chase while under the influence.
This stems from an August 1st incident where 35 year-old Alex Wojtowich allegedly fled from police while driving in an erratic manner. After performing a PIT maneuver, police took Wojtowich into custody where he admitted to taking a controlled substance earlier.
After pleading guilty to fleeing/eluding an officer, DUI, and driving with a suspended license, he was sentenced to spend between five months and two years at the Clearfield County Jail followed by three years of concurrent probation.
