Jerry R. Provin Sr. age 86 formerly of Jacksonville, Florida and Sigel, PA, currently a resident at the DuBois Nursing Home, died on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Born on December 23, 1939 in Allens Mills, PA; he was the son of the late William and Martha Preston Provin. He was married to Reba Hager and she preceded him in death in August of 2002.
Retiring from the U.S. Navy, Jerry served his country for 20 years including in Vietnam, earning the rank of Chief Petty Officer.
He is survived by a son Jerry (Scott) Provin Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; daughters Teresa (Chris) Morgan of New Hampshire; Karen (Chris) Trimble also of Jacksonville, FL; Elizabeth (Misty) Ransom of DuBois; a granddaughter Rebecca (GJ) Figueroa of New Hampshire; great grandchildren: Brooklyne Shields, Bea Shields, Charlie Rose Figueroa, Oliver Figueroa and Penelope Figueroa. In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by a grandson Jeremy Provin and 3 brothers Dickie, Bruce and John Provin.
All services for Jerry will be private at the convenience of his family. Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the DuBois Nursing Home 212 S. 8th Street DuBois, PA 15801.
