Pittsburgh Pirates:
The 2026 season came to an end for the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend. The Bucs lost to Detroit on Friday and Saturday, but then finished the season Sunday with a 4-2 victory over the Tigers. The Pirates wrap up the season with a winning record for the first time in eight years. They also came within six games of a wildcard position in the National League playoffs.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins claimed a 3-1 win in their final preseason game Saturday in Buffalo. The regular season starts Wednesday evening in Philly when the Pens face off against their cross-state rivals, the Philadelphia Flyers.
