Keith D. Gittermann, age 77 of DuBois, PA, formerly of the Village of Lewiston, NY, died Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the Fountains at DuBois.
Born on November 17, 1948 in Mt. Holly, NJ, he was the son of the late Florence (Fuss) Woods. He was married to his wife of 54 years, Marianne (Cake) Gittermann. She survives.
Keith graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and earned a Master’s Degree from West Chester University in Micro Biology. He worked as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for Thermo Fischer in Grand Island, NY for over 20 years.
Keith loved going for long walks throughout the Village of Lewiston, going to the Jersey Shore, and gardening. He was a sports fan, especially for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, Flyers, and Penn State.
Along with his wife, Keith is survived by two children; Shannon Gittermann and her companion Chris Ganeles of Ridgway, PA, and Matthew Gittermann and his wife Megan of Sykesville, MD, two grandchildren; Ryleigh and McKenna Gittermann, and three grand dogs; Tippy, Ein, and Poppy.
There will be no public visitation and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
