PHILIPSBURGH – A Philipsburgh man is facing several charges after a traffic stop allegedly revealed he had drugs and a stolen firearm.
On July 31st police pulled over 35 year-old Cody Shaw in Decatur Township for driving a motorcycle while his license was suspended and had an expired registration.
During the traffic stop police noted Shaw may have been under the influence. After a search they allegedly discovered a small bag of methamphetamines, and a small rifle with a cut off barrel and a handgun which did not belong to him.
He now faces felony possession of a firearm prohibited, felony receiving stolen property, DUI, and other drug charges.
