DUBOIS – The DuBois City Council is moving forward now that the city’s 2024 audit has been completed, following months of questions about its status.
Officials say the audit was initiated in late 2025, and now lawmakers must pay for additional work.
“The audit invoice and the work that they did was not part of the audit,” explained one council member.
Council approved paying a $17,000 dollar additional charge once a separate invoice is submitted. Officials are also looking into the city’s 2025 audit.
