DUBOIS – Within his first two months of being the new DuBois City Manager, Joe Fleming has negotiated a new contract with the city’s police department.

City Officials say this agreement includes retroactive pay of around $177,000 dollars, while other wage related costs will be held off until the start of the city’s new budget year.

Multiple council members praised Fleming for his commitment to DuBois and getting the contract done in a timely manner.

This is why we hired Joe,” explained Council Member Bill Beers. “I mean, within two months, we finally got this done.”

The contract was approved unanimously by the City Council.
